larger image Tangram $7.00 A TANGRAM is a Chinese puzzle, and a type of dissection puzzle. A tangram consists of 7 pieces, called tans, which fit together to form a square. Used in education as a mathematical manipulative to teach some mathematical concept by manipulating it. The use of manipulatives provides a way for children to learn concepts in developmentally appropriate, hands-on ways.
